Yarn talk: Knit Picks & Eat Sleep Knit

Happy June! May went by so incredibly fast. I hope everyone had a great month and here's to an even better one. :)

Another feature on tinysea will be "Yarn Talk." Since we're both addicts, we'll talk about our favorite online shops since this is an online blog...hardy har har.

The first two shops I want to mention are Knit Picks & Eat Sleep Knit. Lauren introduced me to the wonderful world of Knit Picks where prices are fair and the yarn is pretty darn fabulous! Best acrylic yarn on Earth = Knit Picks Brava Yarn which you can find here in Worsted Weight or here in Bulky. It's soft, non itchy and resilient, and at $2.99 a ball you can't go wrong! Brava is like buttah. It melts in your hands. You may commence drooling now. ;) They have many other lines, but since I'm such a big fan of this yarn I thought it deserved a shout out.

Next on the list is Eat Sleep Knit. I'm thinking my friend Jess introduced me to their shop. ESK includes famous lines such as Malabrigo, Dream in Color, Madelinetosh as well as several others. I ordered Malabrigo after a recommendation and thanks to ESK, I'm now an addict. Malabrigo is a merino wool yarn. It's soft to the touch, a little expensive, but well worth it. The shop also features a Yarnathon where it pays in prizes to buy yarn! After your yarn purchase, the yardage is calculated depending on how much you bought and applied to your account. Once you reach a certain milestone, ESK will ship out your prize to you automatically. Sounds like a great deal to me! Eat Sleep Knit is in my native state of Georgia and I can't wait to visit someday.

If you're in the market for quality yarns but can't make it to a yarn shop, I'd say to give these two places a try. You won't regret it!
